Structural Steel & Long-Span Decking Project

Project Overview

Lowder Steel, Inc. completed the structural steel scope for the Tri-Beach Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) facility, delivering a durable steel framework designed to support the operational needs of a modern emergency services building. The project incorporated 65 tons of structural steel along with long-span Epicore decking, allowing for efficient open interior spaces and structural performance.

Scope of Work

Lowder Steel provided full-service steel solutions for the Tri-Beach VFD project, including:

  • Structural steel fabrication

  • Steel detailing and coordination

  • Installation of long-span Epicore decking

  • Fabrication and installation of two steel stair systems

  • On-site steel erection

The use of Epicore decking allowed for longer spans and efficient structural support while helping maximize usable interior space within the facility.
